Some Music from Kemper Crabbe

A lot of folks have never heard Kemper Crabbe mainly because he was pigeonholed "Christian" music back in the early 80's.

His album the Vigil is awesome by any means so here is one I particularly like, an ancient song They That God Down to the Sea in Ships

Milla Jovovich The Gentlemen who Fell

This is a really great song and a very cool video for an unlikely source, Milla Jovovich star of countless geek dreams and some movies ;-o

The Manliest Thing in the World, A Man Playing a Harp

Benjamin Bagby performing Beowulf.

Seriously awesome and a great display of what a Bard might be like. This part is called Battle and if you let your wild heart listen its easy to be carried to a great hall 1500 years ago when the night is cold and dark and fear is all around.

The Faerie Queen

This song is an entire adventure waiting to happen and while its a little too lyrical for gaming background its a great piece of music.

I have had the pleasure of hearing this performed live by Heather Alexander prior to the change into Alexander James Adams.

Now in fairness I haven't heard him sing as yet so I have no idea how his voice is. He's a heck of a fiddler though as this song will show.

Fire in the Head !

The Bard song, performed ably by Emerald Rose

A Cool Song "Winds Four Quarters"

I prefer the Leslie Fish version as vs the Heather Alexander (now Alexander James Adams) version better as her cigarette and whiskey voice sounds like a tired and sorrowful woman warrior.

Music: Anything Goes

In honor of my last post. Willie Scott (the lovely Kate Capshaw) from Temple of Doom singing Anything Goes

Big Iron

In honor of my players coincidental "Big Iron" remark (I was listening to the song that day though he didn't have any way to know I have ever heard the song ) some Marty Robins with Big Iron

Some Saint Patrick's Day Music

My original intent was to play something from Putanmayo's Women of World Celtic, one of my favorite albumbs but the versions of the songs I liked on You Tube were either inappropriate (pictures of Scotland for Waiting for the Wheel to Turn) or poor quality live ones (for On We Go) so I decided on going with the obvious popular choice, Enya.

This is Boadicea , fitting tribute to Irish courage I think.

Conan!

Not O'Brien but a grim Cimmerian destined to be king, one of the great inspirations of our hobby.

Some Kemper Crabbe (inside the box)

More music, some Kemper Crabbe very European/Medieval and Christian with really nice garden pictures. The lyrics to teh 1st portion Tannin include nice dragon references . Its followed by Sunrise After the Vigil which rocks on toast.

Sometimes its good to be in the box too.

Govinda Jaya Jaya

This is an odd choice for a gaming blog but trust me posting this Hari Krishana spiritual serves a purpose.

Music can inspire creativity and the broader a range your listen too, the more exposure you have, the more skilled you will become at thinking outside the box.

A Video with Old School Crush

The stunning Louise Robey from Friday the 13th the Series ...

Here is her sexy as all get up in a cover of Murray Head's One Night in Bangkok. In an odd bit of coincidence Murray's brother Anthony Stuart would later go on into SF as "Giles" on Buffy and Angel. So its a bit of Horror all around
