A favorite song of mine from the only country supergroup I know of. Video is meh, but I love the song and the picture it conjures. I like a wide variety of music genres, but country always tells the best stories.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorites as well. The video is not bad for when it was made. Would be nice to see it redone with the million dollar budgets the schlock released today gets. I go back and forth on country versus metal as far as stories. Iron Maiden tells some great stories in the music and I bet whole campaigns could be created on just their music.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the replies guys. Country music is of course the descendant of folk music and inherited its stories and sometimes music styles
ReplyDeleteIron Maiden and other metal especially epic metal bands like Dragonmforce are pure campaign fodder.
I guess I am going to have to do an article on that one day eh?
